C'est moi
Bonjour! Okay, I'm not really French, I just think it's a beautiful language. I made this blog because I recently moved to New York City. There are a lot of new things going on in my life, I might as well share it with the web world. I've lived in the city of my dreams for about 2 months now, so there is a lot to say, but I'll start on how I got here. I'm a dancer. Love dance, breathe dance, honestly couldn't live without dance. Ballet is my passion. I truly aspire to be a professional ballerina one day. Simple as that. Yet, the ballet world itself is definitely not simple at all. My first big step after 12 years of ballet classes, performances, summer intensives, and the dreadful pointe shoes, was moving to New York. I was accepted to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Junior Division on scholarship for the second semester of 2012. You could only imagine what a small town native would say (or scream) when her parents agreed to let her move there with her older sister. Though, there my be a chance of your imagination not being big enough to let you hear such a scream of delight. In a nutshell: I transfer out of my public high school to an online independent study program, pack all the sweaters, scarves and boots I could, and say goodbye to my friends, family, and dogs. Now currently residing on the Lower East Side with my older sister, Meaghan, (who blogs like crazy and gave me this idea), I am living a pretty lucky life at 16. À bientôt. ("Bye for now.")
